This 7-day road safari through Kenya offers a perfectly paced journey across some of the country’s most diverse and iconic landscapes. Your adventure begins with two nights at The River Camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private wildlife haven at the foot of Mt. Kenya. Here, you’ll enjoy game drives in search of rhinos, lions, and other big game. Optional night game drives and bush walks offer deeper immersion into this unique ecosystem.

From Ol Pejeta, you'll head to The Cliff in Lake Nakuru National Park for two nights of lakeside luxury with sweeping views and excellent wildlife sightings, including flamingos and endangered white rhinos. Finally, the safari culminates in the world-famous Maasai Mara, where two nights at Ilkeliani Camp position you perfectly for Big Five encounters. Guided game drives, optional hot air balloon safaris, and optional cultural visits to a Maasai village add depth and variety to the experience. Travel is by private 4x4 safari vehicle, with full-board accommodation and all park entry fees included.

Day 1 to Day 3: Ol Pejeta (The River Camp)

Day 1: Nairobi → Ol Pejeta Conservancy (The River Camp)

Early morning pick-up in Nairobi (around 6:30 AM).
Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (approx. 4–5 hrs) via Nanyuki with scenic views of Mt. Kenya.
Arrive at The River Camp in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in Ol Pejeta
Return for dinner and relaxation at camp.

Day 2: Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Morning game drive in the conservancy—visit the endangered species enclosure (home to the last northern white rhinos).
Return for brunch or lunch.
Afternoon optional activities:
Dinner at camp under the stars.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Nakuru

After breakfast, head to Nakuru

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (approx. 5.5–6 hrs).
Stop for lunch en route or at the lodge upon arrival.
Check-in at The Cliff, a luxury tented camp on a ridge with panoramic lake views.
Afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru: rhinos, flamingos, Rothschild giraffes, leopards.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – The Cliff

Early morning game drive to catch animals in golden light.
Return for a relaxed breakfast at camp.
Midday at leisure or optional guided walk / spa treatment.

Day 5: The Cliff to Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart to Masai Mara

Day 5 to Day 7 (Ilkeliani Camp): Masai Mara

Day 5: Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara (Ilkeliani Camp)

Early breakfast, then drive to Maasai Mara via Narok (approx. 5.5–6.5 hrs).
Arrive at Ilkeliani Camp by early afternoon.
Check-in and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon game drive in the Mara—look for elephants, lions, and dramatic savannah landscapes.
Dinner and campfire at Ilkeliani by the Talek River.

Day 6: Full Day in Maasai Mara – Ilkeliani Camp

Optional sunrise hot air balloon safari (extra cost, ~USD 400 pp).
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara—prime time for Big Five and (seasonally) the Great Migration.
Optional Maasai village visit or nature walk with a guide.
